6 lbs. lean beef, cooked and pulled
2 lbs. brown sugar
1 lbs. suet
2 lbs. raisins
2 lbs. currents
5 lbs diced apples
2 T cloves
2 T cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 pint vinegar
1/2 gal. gooseberries or cherries
2 oranges chopped
2 lemons chopped
1 qt. molasses
1 tsp. allspice

Mix well and let stand in refrigerator overnight. Pack in quart jars and cold pack for 10 minutes. Ready for pies or cookies.
