1 pkg yeast
1 1/2 cup warm water
2/3 cup shortening (part butter)
2/3 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
7 cups flour
1 cup lukewarm unseasoned mashed potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Add 1/2 cup luke warm water to yeast, proof. Cream shortening well add sugar and cream until softened, blend in mashed potaoes. Beat eggs ass to yeast mixture, then mix into shortening mixture. Add remaining cup water. Add sifted flour gradually, mixing well, then mix with hands, work in 6 1/2 to 7 cups in by kneading. Set to raise in large bowl in 80 or 85 º about 2 hours or 'til double in bulk. Punch down, put in refridge and use as needed. If you want to bake some right away, punch down knead lightly, shape as you wish in pans until doubled in bulk and bake for 10 - 12 minutes at 350º. Makes great cinnamon roll with powdered sugar glaze.
