2 tbsp butter, softened
1 mediun onion, thinly sliced
1 1/2 tsp chopped fresh sage or 1/2 tsp dried
4 slices mulit grain bread
2 tbsp cranberry sauce
4 ounces sliced turkey
3 ounces thinly sliced or shredded gouda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat 1 tbsp butter in medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute, stirring until sizzling and lightly brown, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and sage. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook stirring often until onions are very tender, about 25 minutes.
Lay bread slices on a cutting board, spread with a bit of cranberry sauce. Place layers of onions, tukey and cheese on 2 of the slices. Top with remaining bread. Heat a skillet over medium heat, butter outsides of each sandwich and grill, pressing occassionally until golden. Serve warm.
