1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp soda
2/3 cup brown sugar
6 tbsp margarine
1 tsp water
6 oz chocolate chips
1 egg
1/2 to 3/4 lb pastel cream mint kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour and soda. In saucepan heat and stir brown sugar and margarine and water over low leat until butter is melted. Add chocolate pieces. Heat and stir until chocolate is melted. Cool 10 to 15 minutes. Beat egg into mixture. Stir in flour. Dough will be soft. Cover and chill 1 to 2 hours until easy to handle. Shape into 1" balls. Bake 350º for 8 minutes. Top each cookie with mont and bake 2 minutes more. Swirl mint with knife. Remove and cool.
