Cream: 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup oleo

Blend:
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda

Add:
1/2 cup finely ground nuts

Brown Sugar Frosting:
6 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp oleo
Bring to boil, let cool and add 1 tsp vanilla and powder sugar to spreading consistency.

Directions:
Directions:
Chill 20 minutes. Shape into balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with glass. Bake 12 minutes at 350º.

Variation for chocolate:
5 tbsp white sugar and 1 tbsp cocoa instead of brown sugar.
