2 1/2 C. FLOUR
1 T. SALT
1 C. BUTTER, CHILLED
1 EGG, SPERATED
EGG YOLD BEATEN WITH ENUF MILK TO EQUAL 2/3 C.
FILLING-
1 C. CRUSHED CORN FLAKES
8-10 (8 C.) APPLES PEELED AND SLICED
1 C.SUGAR
2 t. cinnamon, divided
1/2 t. nutmeg 1 reserved egg white
2 T. sugar
GLAZE-
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
1-2 T. milk

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In med. bowl, combine flour, salt, cut in butter until crumbly. With fork, stir in egg yolk and milk until dough forms a ball, divide in half. On lightly floured surface, roll 1/2 of dough into 15x10 rectangle; place on bottom of 15x10 jelly-roll pan. Sprinkle with corn flakes AND TOP WITH APPLES.
In small bowl, combine 1 c. sugar, 1 1/2 t. cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples. Roll remainng half of dough into 15 1/2x10 1/2 rectangle and place
over apples.
Beat egg white with fork until and brush over top crust. Stir 2 T. sugar and remaining 1/2 t. cinnamon;
sprinkle over crust. Bake for 45-60 min. or until lightly browned.
Mix glaze and drizzle over warm bars.
