1 lb. ground beef
2 cloves finely chopped garlic
1 tsp. sugar (optional)
1 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
16 oz. tomato, pizza or marinara sauce
5 chopped scallions or chopped onions
4 cups dry egg noodles (or other pasta)
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
8 oz. sour cream
3/4 cup cheddar cheese

Directions:
Cook and drain beef; add garlic, sugar, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 15 min. Meanwhile, cook noodles until firm, but tender. In a small bowl, combine scallions, cream cheese and sour cream. Grease casserole and layer noodles on bottom. Pour meat sauce on top. Carefully spread sour cream mixture over meat sauce. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
