Ingredients:  
Measure into mixing bowl: 1/2 cup water 110 -115 degrees. Add stirring to disolve 2 pkg yeast.

Stir in:
1/2 cup lukewarm milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 c soft shortening
2 eggs, 4 1/2 to 5 cups flour

Knead on floured board. Put in greased bowl, cover, let rise in warm oven (closed oven with pan of boiling water)
Slap out and flatten out and rub with almond filling 3/4" thick. Let rise again.

Paste: beat 1/2 lb margarine with 2 cups brown sugar. Cream til fluffy. Add and beat 1/2 cup almond paste 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Bake 375º for 30 minutes.
