3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tbsp. vinegar
9 tbsp. water

Directions:
Sift the flour before measuring. Be extra careful and accurate in the measuring of the shortening. Be sure to use the correct amount of water. Thoroughly blend the flour and the shortening. Beat the egg slightly, and add to it the water and vinegar. Add the liquid mixture to the flour and shortening mixture. "This pie crust makes enough for a large cobbler using 4 cups of fruit. I line the bowl and cut the rest in strips leaving enough strips to place on top of the cobbler after I have punched strips of crust down into the fruit mixture."
