4 CUPS OF WATER
6 PEPPERS
1 CUP RICE (NOT INSTANT)
1 MEDIUM ONION
2 TBSP BUTTER
1/2 POUND OF SHREDDED AMERICAN CHEESE
1 CUP OF CHOPPED HAM (COOKED)

Directions:
Cut peppers in half and deseed. Put in boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes. Drain and reserve 2 cups of water from peppers. Bring water to a boil and add rice. Cover and cook about 20 minutes. Saute onion in butter. Add 3/4 cups of pepper water and cheese. Stir until well blended. Add rice and ham. Mix. Add salt and pepper to taste. Fill pepper halves. Put in 1/4 inch water in pan. Bake at 350for 30 - 40 minutes
