2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. toasted sunflower seeds
1 c. flake coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º F. Measure and mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and butter. Add vanilla, coconut, and sunflower seeds. Shape into 4 - 2" diameter rolls and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Slice while cold. Bake about 10 minutes or until very light brown.

Grandma Ruth added a note to her recipe that she used 4 cups of flour instead of 3 and "they got nice".
