1/3 c olive oil
3 tbsp chopped fresh basil
3 tsp minced garlic
2 8oz pkgs cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
2/3 c coarsely chopped walnuts
2/3 c currants

Directions:
Directions:
In small bowl, conbine olive oil, basil, and garlic. Mix and set aside.

Cream the cream cheese. Add in oil mixture and blend well. Stir in parsley, walnuts, and currants. Chill. Best if prepared several hours in advance. Serve with water crackers. Garnish with walnut halves, whole basil leaves, and/or currants.

I don't remember where I found this recipe, but it has always been a hit EVERYTIME I make it.
