2 broiler/fryer chickens (3 - 3 1/2 lb. each) cooked and shredded
1 medium onion, chopped
2 c. water
1 to 1 1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
1 tsp. each salt, celery seed and chili powder
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
Hamburger buns

In a 3 qt. slow cooker or Dutch oven, combine all ingredients except buns; mix well.
Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours in the slow cooker. Serve on buns.

6 cups of diced cooked chicken may be used instead of the shredded chicken.
