1 c butter or oleo
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Frosting:
1 stick of butter or oleo
1 bag powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream oleo, add sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at time, beating after each. Stir in vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. Chill dough over night. Roll on floured surface. Cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 375º oven for 6-8 minutes. Cool before frosting.
Frosting:
Melt oleo, add powered sugar and vanilla. Add a little milk at time so frosting is stiff not running. Frost cookies and let dry for a while. Keep in a container with a lid so cookies say soft.
