1 pie crust, cooked and ready for filling, OR Keebler ready Shortbread crust

6 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 tsp.almond extract

3 pints fresh strawberries, hulled
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 to 3 TBS flour or cornstarch to thicken sauce

1 pint heavy cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar

Spread mixture of cream cheese, sugar and almond extract into cooled pie crust. Mash 1 pint of strawberries and mix in saucepan with sugar, lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. almond extract and flour paste. Cook over medium heat until thick.(5 minutes) Cool and mix with remaining strawberries. Pile sauce and strawberries into prepared pie crust. Whip cream, gradually adding vanilla extract and confectioner's sugar. Using a pastry bag, pipe whipped cream mixtur onto pie in a lattice design.
