½ c. sour cream
¼ c. sugar
¼ c. butter
½ t. salt
¼ c. warm water
1 pkg. Yeast
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 small egg
1 8oz. package cream cheese
¼ c. + 2 T sugar
½ t. salt
1 t. almond extract
1 c. powdered sugar
1-2 T milk
1 t. almond extract

Directions:

½ c. sour cream
¼ c. sugar
¼ c. butter
½ t. salt
mix together in a saucepan over med-low heat until melted together; cool

¼ c. warm water
1 pkg. Yeast
mix together, let stand about 5 min.

Combine together with the sour cream mixture, stir in
1 egg
2 c. flour
stir until the mix balls up; refrigerate over night.

Mix until very smooth:
1 small egg
1 8oz. package cream cheese
¼ c. + 2 T sugar
½ t. salt
1 t. almond extract

Roll the dough out into 2 rectangles about 12” x 8”. Spoon half the filling down one long edge, pinch the edges together and tuck the pinched ends underneath. Place seam-side down on a greased cookie sheet. Slice every 2 inches almost through to the bottom. Let it rise in a just-warm oven until double in size (about an hour). Bake at 375 until golden brown, 12-15 minutes.

When cooled, drizzle with sugar glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
1-2 T milk
1 t. almond extract
stir together until thin enough to spoon over coffee cake
