2/3 cup soft butter or margarine
1/4 tsp salt
6 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3 tsp vanilla

Cream thoroughly butter, salt and 3 cups powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add remaining powdered sugar and milk, alternately blending until smooth and of spreading consistency. Add vanilla. (you may not need the full 1/2 cup milk...add a little at a time)
