1 cup chopped onion
2 Tbsp butter
3/4 lb ground beef
3/4 lb pork sausage
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp sugar
12 oz tomatoes, cut or put in blender and chopped
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 3/4 cup water
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1 16 oz pkg lasagna noodles (uncooked)
1 pint cottage cheese
1 16 oz Mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter. Add beef, sausage, salt and pepper. Drain grease. Stir in sugar, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, seasonings. Heat to boil. Reduce heat, simmer 15 minutes. Grease 9 x 13 pan. Put some sauce in pan. Layer uncooked noodles, cottage cheese, cheese, sauce in three layers. Cover. Can sit in fridge for up to 3 days. Bake uncovered at 350º for 1 hour.
