4 eggs
1 c Crisco
1 c Louisiana pure cane syrup
2 T pumpkin pie spice
1 c sugar
1 T ginger
1 t baking soda
1/8 t salt
1 c buttermilk
1 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add syrup and spices. Add flour and buttermilk alternately. Add vanilla.

Bake at 350º for 45 minutes or one hour.

Glaze: 1 c brown sugar and juice of one orange. Mix together and pour on hot gingerbread. Serve with whipped cream.
