3 slices bacon, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 cans (16 oz) pork and beans
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tbs catsup
1 tbs mustard
1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400ºF. Cook and stir bacon and onion in medium skillet on medium heat until bacon is crisp and onion is tender. Drain bacon drippings, if necessary. pour beans into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Stir in bacon and onion, syrup, catsup, mustard and pepper sauce until well mixed. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until beans are hot and bubbly. Makes about 4 cups or 8 servings.
