2 cups flour
1 cup real butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
FILLING:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Cookies:
Cream butter; add powdered sugar, then flour. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Shape in 1 inch balls ; place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press thumb in center of cookies. (I use my minature tart pans to help hold the shape) and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Spoon filling in each cookie.
Filling:
melt butter in saucepan; add brown sugar. bring to boil, boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; and begin whisking as you stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and immediately fill.
