2 sticks oleo
2 c brown sugar
3 eggs
1 t vanilla
4 c flour
1 t baking soda
2 t baking powder
3/4 c sour cream

Directions:

Add baking soda in sour cream.

Cream butter and sugar, add beaten eggs

Sift 4 c.flour with 1 t. baking powder. (May sift 2 c flour and 1 t baking pwdr, and then repeat. Combine two mixtures). Add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Then add sour cream and soda mixture, last add vanilla.

May need to add more flour for spread-out or cut-out cookies.

Cook in 375º oven for 10-12 minutes.

When cool, use creamy white icing recipe. Color batches of icing if desired.

These cookies were one of Grandma Glaze's hallmarks, but I have always had a little trouble with the flour amount and rolling out the dough. If anyone can get this to work, they have found a real gem. This can be spooned onto cookie sheet, iced and sprinkled or made as cut-out cookies.
