1/3 c shortening
1/3 c sugar
1 egg
2/3 c honey
1 t lemon flavoring
2 3/4 c flour
1 t soda
1 t salt
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, egg, honey, thoroughly. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Blend into mixture in small amounts. Chill dough well.

Heat oven to 375º.

Roll dough ou t1/4" thick. Cut into desire shapes. Place 1" apart on cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until no imprint remains on cookie when lightly touched.

When cooled, ice and decorate as desired.
