1 cup plus 2 Tblsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup soft butter
6 Tblsp sugar
6 Tblsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
1/2 cup nuts
chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Sift flour, soda and salt together and set aside
Blend butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and water. Beat in egg. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle with chocolate chips
Bake for 12-14 min in a 13x9x2 greased pan.

These bars were a favorite to make for coffee before starting to butcher chickens. A little something sweet before starting a long day.
