5 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
2 14 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 tsp. ginger
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 cup butter
1 cup molasses
2 eggs
1/3 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, sugar, cinnamon, soda, ginger, salt and cloves. Cream butter till light. Beat in molasses. Beat in eggs. Stir in water. Stir in dry ingredients into wet. Chill 1 hour. Roll out to 1/4 " thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut into shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes in 350 oven.
