"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup mini chocolate chips or 6 oz. finely chopped chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together first. Then add all of your dry ingredients. Aunt Evelyn always adds the chocolate at the end. Cut the dough into 4 equal parts (about 10 ounces per piece). Do not knead the heck out of it!!!! Roll them out and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 25 - 30 minutes. Take them out of the oven and let them sit a couple of minutes. Then cut them into strips. Put them back on the cookie sheet and into the oven again for a few minutes to give them a crispier texture.
