Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 can frosting (sour cream type is best)
1 6 oz pkg chocolate or other chips
nuts if desired (I make it with chopped pecans)

Directions:
Directions:
Line 8 or 9" square pan with foil. Butter generously. Melt chocolate chips in microwave, 30 seconds at a time or over boiling water. When melted stir in 1 container of frosting. Add nuts if desired. Stir vigorously. Spread in prepared pan immediately. Let sit until firm – okay to refrigerate if you are in a hurry. Cut in 1 inch squares – very rich.

Mix various kinds of chips and frostings to make different fudges. Chocolate chips with chocolate frosting. Peanut butter chips with white or chocolate frosting, etc.

To make layered fudge either split each batch of fudge between two 8 inch pans or use a 9x13" pan lined with foil, butter generously. Make one type of fudge. Let set until close to firm. Prepare second type of fudge and pour over first layer. Chill until
firm.

My experience is that if you don't line the pan with aluminum foil and butter generously, it is impossible to get out except in small chunks.

For layered fudge, the following are good:

Chocolate chips with chocolate frosting and White or butterscotch chips with butterscotch frosting

Chocolate chips with chocolate frosting and White chips with vanilla frosting

Chocolate Cherry Chips with Cherry or Chocolate Frosting and chocolate cherry Chips with vanilla frosting.
