3 - Bacon strips, chopped
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsl. flour
3- 6 oz. cans chopped clams (picked)
1 cup water
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Black pepper to taste
4 med. potatoes cubed
2 tbsp. minced parsley
2 green onions chopped

Brown bacon in a 3 quart saucepan. Add celery, onion and butter, saute until tender.

Drain clams- reserving juice,

Gradually add flour to sauted celery and onion mixture, stirring well. Add water, milk, claim juice and seasoning. Add potatoes and simmer until potatoes are very tender. Add claims simmer approx, 15 minutes.

Serve topped with green onions.
