1 stick margarine
1/2 cup honey or1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups quick oats
2 cups total cereal or similar cereal
1 cup raisins
1 cup sunflower kernels
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup nuts
sesame seeds, wheat germ, or lecithin granules (optional)

Heat margarine, honey, maple syrup, peanut butter and vanilla. Mix oats, total, sunflower seeds, raisins, coconut and nuts. Add heated mixture and stir. Bake at 325º in a greased pan for 10 minutes

This recipe was given to us by a women named Jane many years ago who was a guest and brought granola as a gift. We have made it many times and substitute just about anything we have handy and it always tastes good!
