1 1/4 cups boiling water
1 cup minute oats
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

TOPPING:
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup pecans, chopped
3/4 cup coconut, flaked
3 tbsp. half & half
1/2 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Pour boiling water over oats and let stand for 20 minutes.

Beat butter till creamy, add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Stir in oats.

Sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes

When cake is close to done make Topping.
Melt butter then add other topping ingredients and stir.

Take cake out of oven and turn oven up to 450º
Spread topping over cake. Return to oven and bake until bubbly, about 10 to 20 minutes
