8 slices white sandwich bread
4 eggs
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 t. vanilla
4 c. milk
2 sticks margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Toast bread on both sides. Break into bite-sized pieces. Set aside. In mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar, blend well. Add vanilla and milk. Blend well. Set aside. Melt margarine in large skillet. Add toasted bread pieces and stir while simmering until all margarine is absorbed. Place bread in 9x13 baking dish. Pour egg and milk mixture over bread pieces. Push bread into milk several times so that it will start to absorb milk mixture. Bake until firm and brown.
