2 apples cored, pared & sliced
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup +2 tbsp. Bisquick mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cup water
3 eggs
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Crumb Topping:
1/2 cup bisquick mix
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.

Make crumb topping:
In bowl combine bisquick mix and brown sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add walnuts.

Toss apples with lemon juice and 2 tbsp. bisquick. then arrange in 9-inch pie plate.

Mix remaining ingredient's for 3 minutes in a blender. Let stand for 5 minutes.

Pour mixture over apples and top with crumb topping.
Bake for 35 minutes or till golden

This pie is my favorite. The first time Sandy made it she called it apple upside down pie. Jeff & Sandy were driving from New Jersey to our home for Thanksgiving dinner and had to slam on their brake. The pie went on the floor, but it was still great. I could have ate the whole pie, I think I did.
