1 C. Butter, at room temperature
1/2 C. Sugar
2-1/4 C. Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 Egg
1/4 tsp. Almond extract (you may use Vanilla if you prefer)
Food Coloring, if desired
Cinnamon imperials or cookie decorations of your choice.

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400º.
Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Stir in flour, salt, egg, and extract. If you want to tint dough, add a few drops of food coloring now. Mix well.
Place dough in cookie press according to the directions on your cookie press.
Press out desired shapes onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 5-8 minutes or until set, but not brown.
Remove from cookie sheets and cool on a wire rack.
To decorate cookies after baking, use a drop of corn syrup to attach decoration to cookies.
