Orange Pecan Pound Cake Recipe

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons grated orange rind
2 tablespoons orange juice
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Preheat oven to 350.

Grease and lightly flour 9 inch loaf pan.

Bring butter and eggs to room temperature.

In bowl, beat butter; gradually add sugar, 1/4 cup at a time, until light and fluffy; add eggs.

In small bowl, combine flour and baking powder; gradually beat into egg mixture.

Stir in orange rind, orange juice, nuts and raisins. Stir until combined.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 50 minutes.

Cool in pan for 15 minutes; transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
