1 box yellow cake mix
1 can mandarin oranges in juice
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 large Cool Whip
1 small box vanilla instant pudding mix
1 can crushed pineapple, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the yellow cake according to the package directions. Mix the can of oranges, 1/2 cup shortening and eggs. Combine this with the cake batter & pour into cake pans. Bake according to the package directions.
For icing:
Mix the cool whip, pudding and pineapple. Ice when cake has cooled. Refrigerate left overs.

I usually use another can of mandarin oranges instead of the pineapple in this recipe. Sometimes I use half pineapple and half oranges.
