1 green pepper
4-5 lbs. cabbage chopped
2 onions
2 c sugar

Dressing:
1 T and 1 tsp sugar
1 c vinegar
3/4 cup Wesson oil
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp celery seed
1 T salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the dressing ingredients and bring to a boil. Set aside and let cool. Chop cabbage in food processor-- I like coarse pieces instead of finely grated. Use food processor to chop onions. Mix cabbage and onion, then pour 2 cups sugar on top. Pour dressing over mixture. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Before serving, mix it thoroughly.

Another recipe from my mother. It is great to take to a picnic or for a potluck supper or to a friend that has lots of company as it gets better with age and it does not have mayonnaise that can spoil in the heat.
