CRUST:
1 c. All purpose flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
TOPPING:
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. All purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 (6 oz) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:

Heat oven to 350ºF. In small bowl, combine all crust ingredients; blend well. Press in bottom of ungreased 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 F. for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes or until slightly cooled. Increase oven temperature to 375ºF.

Meanwhile, in medium bowl, combine 1 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder and eggs; blend well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour topping evenly over crust, spreading slightly if necessary.

Bake at 375 for 13 to 18 minutes or until deep golden brown and center is set. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Cut into Bars
