7 lbs of cucumbers, cut into circles
2 c. lime juice
2 gallons water
2 quarts of vinegar (white)
5 lbs sugar
1 tbsp celery seed
1 tsp mixed pickling spice
1 tsp Tumeric
1 ½ tbsp salt
1 tsp of whole cloves tied in a cloth
1 c. raisins
Green food coloring

Cover cut cucumbers with lime juice and 2 gallons of water. Mix real good before adding cucumbers. Soak for 24 hours. Drain and wash cucumbers well. Soak for 3 hours in cold water. Take out of water and cover with vinegar solution (vinegar, sugar, celery seed, pickling spice, Tumeric, salt, cloves). Let cucumbers stand in mixture overnight. Bring to a boil and simmer 30 minutes. Add raisins and green food coloring and boil another 5 minutes. Pack in jars and seal.
