3/4 C sugar
1 C all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 C butter, melted

PUDDING
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C light brown sugar
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/4 C hot water (DO NOT water add to pudding ingredients.)

CAKE
Combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
With mixer on low, blend in milk, vanilla and melted butter.
Beat at medium speed for 2-3 mins or until well blended.
Pour batter into an 8" x 8" baking dish. Set aside.

PUDDING
Mix sugars and cocoa together, using a fork blend well.
Sprinkle dry mixture evenly over the top of the cake batter. (Cake can be refrigerated at this point until ready to bake.)
Right before placing in oven, carefully pour hot water evenly over dry ingredients, DO NOT MIX.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 40 mins or until center is almost set.
Let stand 15 mins. to allow pudding to thicken. Spoon vanilla ice cream into dessert dishes and spoon pudding cake over top.
Add nuts, whipping cream and a cherry.
