2 1/3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup mashed banana
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Frosting:
3 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened
3-4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup mashed banana
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. For cookies, in large mixer bowl combine flour, sugar, butter, banana, salt, and vanilla. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often until well mixed, 2-3 minutes. Stir in nuts. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies to 1/4 inch thickness with bottom of a glass dipped in flour. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove immediately, cool completely. For frosting, in small mixer bowl, combine all frosting ingredients. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. If desired, tint with food coloring. Spread 1 tablespoon of frosting over bottoms of half of the cookies. Top with remaining cookies.
