1 ½ cups uncooked elbow macaroni
1 ¼ cups milk
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup soft breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
½ teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
3 cups (12 oz) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni according to the package directions, omitting salt; drain and set aside. Scald milk and butter in a small saucepan; pour over breadcrumbs. Add onion and salt, stirring well. Add macaroni, eggs, and 1 ½ cups cheese. Spoon into a greased 10 x 6 x 2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1 ½ cups cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
