Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Granny Rochkie was a superb cook, but didn't use standard measurements. She used her hands and a plain drinking glass, so depending on the size of your hands and the size of the glass, getting her results has always been a bit tricky! My mother also thought that the altitude of Granny's apartment made her baking rise above all others!
It was a treat to have these cookies with her trademark yellow raisins. She always served these with tea and lemon, or hot water, milk and sugar in her glass "bubble" cups and saucers. She wrapped the raisin cookies in waxed paper and stored them in an old Saltine Cracker box.
