2 c. apples, chopped med. fine
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. melted butter
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. baking pwd.
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Place chopped apples in a bowl. Pour sugar over apples and mix well. Beat egg slightly and add to apples and sugar. Add melted butter. Mix well. Add dry ingredients except brown sugar, mixing until well blended. Put in greased and floured 8 x 8" pan. Mix brown sugar and pecans together and sprinkle on top of batter. Bake in 375º oven about 45 minutes or until firm to the touch. Allow to cool before cutting.
