1 qt. grated boiled potatoes
1 large tsp. salt
3 eggs, well beaten
enough flour to form a ball
nutmeg (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix potatoes, salt, eggs, a little nutmeg (optional) and flour thoroughly. Shape into balls, placing into centers of each ball - diced bread browned in butter (optional). Put balls in boiling water, cook about 20 minutes.

This recipe was found in Grandma's recipe box and it said "these are the ones I make". However, this recipe is different than the one both Tony and Pam received from her. And, no one remembers her ever putting anything in the middle of her dumplings.
