1 cup butter
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs, flour, cream of tartar, soda and vanilla.

Place by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Flaten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until golden.
