1 1/2 C chocolate wafer cookie crumbs
3 T sugar
1/4 C butter or margarine, melted
4 (8oz) pkgs cream cheese, softened
3 Large Eggs
1 C sugar
1 (14 oz) pkg flaked coconut
1 (11.5 oz) pkg milk chocolate chips
1/2 C slivered almonds
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 C semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Blend cooke crumbs, 3 T sugar and margarine. Press mixture into bottomm of 10 in springform pan. Bake at 350º for 8 ins. Cool. In bowl, beat cream cheese, eggs and sugar until fluffy. Stir in coconut, milk chocolate chips, 1/2 C almonds and vanilla. Pour into pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hr. cool on wire rack. Place semi-sweet chips in bag, seal. Submerge bag in warm water until morsels melt. Drizzle chocolate over cheesecake. Garnish with toasted almonds. Refrigerate, covered for 8 hrs. Refrigerate for up to 5 days after baking.
