Pastry for 10" one crust pie
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
8 cups thinly sliced tart apples

Crumb Top:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup firm butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425°. Prepare pastry. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, & cinnamon. Mix with apples. Turn into pastry lined pie pan. Combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter & 1/2 cup brown sugar with fork until crumbly. Spread on top of apple mixture. Bake 50 minutes. Cover topping with aluminum foil last 10 mintues to prevent over browning.
