1 qt. boiled beets
1 qt. red or white cabbage
2 c. sugar
2 c. vinegar
1 T. salt
1 c. horseradish

Grind all and mix. Chill. Serve with beef roast or whatever you'd like it on.

Grandpa Scherbarth ground his own horseradish. He'd grind it outside as it was so strong. My Grandpa and Grandma made this every year for our church's beef dinner.
