4 eggs
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
t tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup melted butter
2 cups buttermilk (or 1 cup sour cream mixed with 1 cup milk OR 1 and 1/2 cups plain yogurt with 1/2 cup milk or water)

Directions:

Preheat waffle iron.
Beat eggs until light.
Sift together flours, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to beaten eggs, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Add melted butter. Blend thoroughly.
For each waffle, pour batter into the center of the waffle iron until it reaches an inch from the edges. Do not raise cover during cooking.

***NOTE FROM ANNIE LAURIE: This has to be mostly deadly waffle recipe that exists, but oh sooooo good. I make it frequently for my brunches. Wildly popular.
