1 1/4 cup sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 pound pitted dates, chopped
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1 egg beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream
Icing:
Brown, 1 cup butter
add 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-2 Tablespoons cream or whole milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine dry ingredients. Cream butter,
add sugar, add dates,
nuts and mix well. Add egg and vanilla. Combine and add the
dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Drop by spoonfuls
on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 8-10 minutes
or until golden brown. While slightly warm frost with icing.
